A Novel Saturated Steam Meter Design
Author(s): Eric Sanford Koichi Igarashi Kim Lewis
Abstract/Introduction:
The VorCone Meter is a Boden Mass Meter Boden: Coupling density insensitive & density sensitive volume meters gives mass flow & density. A vortex meter predicts gas volume flow Qv without needing to know the fluid density. A cone DP meter requires the density to predict the volume & / or mass flow rate.

Lies, Damned and the Lies, and the Statistics of Data Fitting
Author(s): Richard Steven Terry Cousins
Abstract/Introduction:
Want proof of low uncertainty metering? Then each step of a flow meter quality control process must have integrity & be transparent Calibration is a critical component of that process. Calibration means 1) the testing of meter and 2) the subsequent data (or curve) fitting of results,ie: linearization of meter. Therere many ways to fit data, it is a subjective exercise which directly influences performance.

Global Flow Measurement Calibration Consistency
Author(s): Erik Smits Dean Standiford
Abstract/Introduction:
What happened? I doubted the amount of fuel received and with that I expected that I paid to much this time I tried to compare fuel dispenser number 2 with 4 with as reference the indicators in my car, What did I forget? There is a tolerance for the fuel dispenser of +/-0.5%. Was this difference within the tolerance? My car is not a calibrated reference volume and the indicators in my car might have large tolerances!

Custody transfer Accuracy ion an 8-Path Ultrasonic Flow Meter with 5D Upstream Straight Run
Author(s): Nick Mollo Gerard Bottio
Abstract/Introduction:
The need for compact metering skids used in offshore applications where footprint is critical, and land based applications cost is important, require meter installations that can tolerate the reduced straight inlet lengths. Meters utilizing multiple, cross-plane, measurement paths to cancel swirl effects is a common practice. Opposing tangential velocity vectors are automatically subtracted from each other. Is a long, straight pipe, calibration of such flow meter sufficient to provide custody transfer level accuracy in disturbed, short length inlet installations?
