Abstract: Specific gravity is one of the basic properties used for characterization and measurement of gases. Instruments used for determining specific gravity are called gravi tometers. There are also methods by which specific gravity can be determined indirectly. Accurate determination of specific gravity is essential for accurate measurement of gas flow rate.
