Abstract: Prior to 1986, Sohio Pipe Line Companys field crude oil run tickets were handwritten by the gauger and then mailed to the Corporate Office in Cleveland, Ohio where they were keypunched into the Corporate computer system. This required a staff of computer terminal operators to keypunch all run tickets into the Corporate crude oil volume accounting system for subsequent reporting of crude oil losses and gains.
