Abstract: As necessity is the mother to invention, the automatic chart changer came into being due to a need by the petroleum industry and other associated industries using circular chart recorders. The automatic chart changer is an adaptation kit that is made for attachment to existing chart recorders that utilize the polar graph or circular chart. It is designed to automatically remove charts from a recording instrument and store the charts until a time is more appropriate for such charts to be collected.
