Abstract: The Instrument Engineer has a wider choice of flowmeter types than ever before. It is estimated that at least one hundred different types of flowmeters are commercially available, and new types are being continually introduced. This paper will present a summary of selection, principle of operation, basic construction, performance, and application of just one of those types, the gas turbine meter.
