Abstract: Natural gas produced from deep wells is usually transmitted over long distances to the point of ultimate use. The raw gas may contain any number of contaminants, but it is almost always saturated with water vapor. If this is the case, any slight reduction in temperature will cause free water to condense in the pipeline.
