Abstract: This paper will cover the recommended installation and operation of densitometers in the petroleum industry. The use of densitometers is widespread over many different industries. Densitometers are used to monitor flowing density of non-custody transfers, fluid mixed interfaces, custody transfers and other applications. We will be reviewing some of the standards for density measurement found in API Standards Chapter 9.4 Continuous Density Measurement Under Dynamic (Flowing) Conditions.
