Abstract: It is my pleasure to report on a different and exciting program sponsored by the Managing Committe of the Operating Section. My remarks are in the nature of a progress report since the project is still underway. However, I believe you will be interested in the progress we have made. I shall be reporting on new and advanced appliances and equipment currently in use in other countries of the world. The advent of sharply increasing gas prices and changing supply and demand are bringing more and more attention to the need for our having the most efficient, the most convenient, the most reliable and the safest gas appliances and equipment possible so that our gas industry can compete in the marketplace.
