Abstract: By definition, a valve is a device which can regulate the flow of fluids (starting, stopping, or throttling) by positioning a movable member in relation to a passageway. As is common with other types of valves, its name, flexible element, describes the means by which this type of valve accomplishes its positioning function -the movable member flexes in an elastic manner to control the flow of fluids.
