Title: Density Measurement As Applied To Orifice Metering
Author: L. K. Spink

Abstract: The gas orifice meter is really basically a weighing device, although the basic formula, velocity squared is equal to twice the acceleration of gravity times the head of flowing fluid, would give the impression that it is a Telocity device. Inasmuch as it is impossible to measure head in feet of flowing fluid, it is immediately necessary to bring in a factor to convert manometer readings to feet of flowing fluid. This introduces the density factor.
