Abstract: This paper will discuss the use of semi-automated balances and the associated software for use in weight calibration. The utilization of computers and digital mass comparator balances has enhanced our ability to make high-accuracy mass measurements. Additional quality and productivity resulted from updating software, balances, and methods. Mass metrology software provides for a reliable means of performing complicated data reduction formulas without risk of mathematical errors.
