Abstract: The Certification Program at Consumers Power Company provides a conformation of training and improves job performance in the field. Any student completing one of our courses and certifying is recognized within Consumers Power Company as meeting specific skill levels necessary for quality job performance. Certification also opens lines of communication between the training staff and field personnel. This keeps training information tuned to the needs of the field and keeps field personnel up to date regarding technical changes.
