Abstract: It has been practical for sate time to use electxonic systems to duplicate the control effects that can be produced with fxieumatics. The refinements of solid state electronics has given a decided econanic edge to the electronic systans over the pneumatic. The Intergrated Circuit (IC) has increased the electronic advantage with a conbination of lower cost and higher reliability. The electronic signals may be transmitted to reirote locations and the signal is easily adapted to a variety of control siystem. The electronics systens can be monitored and cxjntrolled by microprocessors.
