Abstract: The tremendous price increase and resulting apparent fossil-fuel shortage over the past five years has brought about a new recognition of the term measurement for three reasons: (A) The higher price requires a more precise accounting of sales and purchases of these fuels. (B) The present world supply of fossil fuel is concentrated in non-industrial countries located in remote areas of the world.
