Abstract: In this class we will review what we need to know about how natural gas, and other gases, works in order to bet- ter understand how to detect leakage and unintended releases. We will then look at the operation, maintenance and cali- bration of the instrumentation available for gas detection. The class will conclude with a demonstration of the Explo- sion Chamber.
