Title: Calculation Of Meter Charts

Abstract: Any discussion covering the many good methods or practices by which meter charts may be processed would be as complex as a discussion of the variations in gas measurement clauses of purchase and sales contracts. Much of gas is measured in accordance with formulas recommended by instrument manufacturers, while other contracts call for measurement in accordance with formulas recommended by the American Gas Association. Some gas is measured under the assumption that the fluid behaves in accordance with Boyles Law. Yet other contracts stipulate correction for this deviation. Some companies arrive at their pressure extensions by manual calculation, while others have found it expedient to use the gas chart integrator to obtain these extension values.
