Title: Operation Of The Flow Calorimeter

Abstract: Since the real value of natural gas is almost directly proportional to the heat ou combustion, it is quite important that this heat of combustion be determined accurately. The fact that no two pure gases evolve the same amount of heat upon burning causes one to appreciate the function of the calorimeter all the more. Though there are several types of equipment available for the determination of the heating value of gas, this discussion is limited to tlie operation of the Sargent Flow Calorimeter.
