Abstract: Because of an ever increasing squeeze on profits, we should be fully aware of the importance of an adequate profit to each of our companies. Our livelihood depends upon it. Leakage or unaccounted for gas is a problem common to all gas companies. This shrinkage may never be entirely eliminated, but now more than at any time in our past, we should endeavour to minimize this loss figure of our valuable product. This reduction can be achieved through a well-planned and continous program of determination and control.
