Abstract: Series of fire control, fire extinguishment, and vapor dispersion tests were conducted under the high boil-off rates which occur immediately following an LNG spill on land. Correlations of the results provide lire control and extinguishment times with Ary chemical agents and high expansion foams. The magnitude of the reduction in downwind concentrations of methane vapors by the application of high expansion foam on the spill was also determined.
