Abstract: Washington Gas employees designed and built a skid-mounted regulator station (regulator skid) to work in conjunction with a tube tank trailer, which is a transportable supply of high-pressure compressed natural gas (CNG) used to reduce and/or prevent service interruption during various types of construction projects. The regulator skids main advantage, besides fitting in the bed of a pickup truck, is its ability to adequately heat the gas being offloaded, thereby preventing equipment malfunction and speeding the offloading process. This equipment recently underwent field tests and was hailed as an easy-to-operate, timesaving device.
