Abstract: The Deadweight Gauge is the most accurate instrurrent available for the measurement of pressures. Itepeatable readings with accuracies of 0.1% of measured pressure are obtainable. The device does not require recalibration unless the conponents have excessive wear or weights are replaced. It is easily transported and set up in the field, requires minimum maintenance, and is sinple to operate. Tripod rrounting is available for most instruments.
