Abstract: Mechanized equipment must be kept busy and maintained at a very high degree of efficiency and effectiveness. A well planned and implemented preventive maintenance program is mandatory, for the highlevel maintenance required However, when units are not normally headquartered or operated reasonably near adequate maintenance facilities, the carrying out of such a program presents difficult problems which can be effectively and economically solved by utilizing mobile maintenance facilities and performing the necessary maintenance on the units wherever they are based.
