Abstract: Northern I l l i n o i s Gas Company (NI-Gas) is a n a t u r a l gas d i s t r i b u t i o n company c u r r e n t ly serving approximately 1,500,000 customers r e s i d i n g in a 17,000 square mile area throughout the northern t h i r d of I l l i n o i s . NI-Gas, with a workforce of approximately 2600, serves these customers through a combination of aquifer storage f i e l d s , n a t u r a l gas transmission l i n es and an i n t r i c a t e d i s t r i b u t i o n piping network.
