Abstract: Ths need for accurate measurement increases in direct relation to the value of the product metered. As commodities become more valuable, the necessity for accurate measurement assumes prime importance both for successful operation and accounting purposes. Certainly, natural gas fits this category, as it has become increasingly more costly through the years. In all cases it is desirable to measure with accuracy in a dependable and economical manner for the conditions encountered. Proper initial design of the primary element enables continued accuracy by means of thorough, regularly scheduled inspection of the primary element.
