Abstract: The knowledge of the water vapor content within a gas pipeline distribution system is of major importance for the maintenance of quality control within the system. The following discussion covers typical methods for water vapor measurement used by the gas industry. The instruments discussed are different from each other in that each presents a specific method for water vapor measurement. The determination of the water vapor content within a pipeUne system is important because many operational and measurement problems created by poor quality gas can be prevented.
