Abstract: The keynote address traces the significance of the various interpretations of the term integrity from the point of view of an aeronautical technologist consumer of the products of the measurement scientist. The role of honesty (personal integrity) among measurement professionals is reviewed, as are the significance of unimpaired soundness (structural integrity) of measurement systems and the completeness (integration) of measurement systems applications.
