Title: Measurement Of Large Volumes By Turbine Meter

Abstract: Large turbine meters have been used successfully to measure large volumes of hydrocarbons, including high viscosity crude oils. Installation and maintenance cost make the turbine meter the ideal meter for large volume measurement requirements. Also on offshore platforms where available space and weight are primary considerations the turbine meter installation is the best choice. Experience has shown that turbine meters can be used for high viscosity crude oils where displacement meters were thought to be the only alternative for good custody transfer measurement.
