Abstract: In looking at the subject of pressure and temperature measurement devices, there are many aspects of the subject that could be considered. Technology, application, installation and maintenance are several such aspects. The purpose of this discussion is to look at transmitter specifications and at what manufacturers are telling us about these important subjects in their product data sheets. Most importantly, we will learn how to evaluate what those data sheets tell us. As a facet of evaluation we will take a close look at teating-how to test and how to interpret test results.
