Abstract: As the concept of using CNG as a motor vehicular fuel becomes increasingly more popular throughout the United States, it has become very important thai an accurate means to measure the fuel at the dispenser be incorporated in the fueling station. This is mandatory in the demonstration stage that we presently find ourselves in, so that the cost advantages of this concept can be accurately documented and used in our marketing efforts. An accurate means of measuring CNG is also important to base the payment of applicable state taxes. Minnegasco has been utilizing mass flow meters for measurement of CNG. The main focus of this paper will be directed toward our own experience with this type of measuring device.
