Abstract: This paper provides both an introduction and a summary of four associated papers on the proposed 1990 revisions to ANSI/API 2530 (A.G.A. Report No. 3) covering Orifice Measurement of Natural Gas and Other Newtonian Fluids. Each of the other four papers addresses a part of the proposal. While the work represented concludes one phase of the needed work in this area, much more is planned and underway. The continued involvement of our industry in this effort is mandatory as further research moves to reality.
