Title: Extending Gas Ultrasonic Meter Re-Calibration Intervals Through Diagnostics
Author: Dan Hackett, John Lansing

Abstract: Ultrasonic flow meters for natural gas custody transfer measurement have met with wide acceptance by the user community in Asia Pacific over the past several years. However, regulatory bodies and weights and measures authorities are very conservative entities. As the value of the products transferred is considerable, these authorities often insist on physical recalibration of the meters at a recognized third party calibration laboratory. This has meant installations have required spare metering lines, removal of the meters, transportation and costs associated with recalibration services.
