Abstract: The composition of the stream is used to determine the value of that product. Many factors, both outside and inside of the laboratory, can adversely affect the composition. Factors include: variability in the product stream, frequency of sampling (continuous monitoring, composite sample collected over time, multiple samples or single spot), sampling method and sample point validity Inside the laboratory: incorrect GC procedure applied (sample too heavy for older procedures) improper monophasic control of sample, representative sample aliquot and proper application of chromatographic technologies Analyst Proficiency Onsite H2S Analysis
