Abstract: To measure and analyse the protective potential in corrosion control operations on buried pipelines, a new corrosion-control information system with better labour saving, accuracy, and efficiency than the conventional system in which wave form on the analog pen recorder chart was the only data source) has been achieved. The system uses a digital potential recorder named Frogboy and a personal computer. We are currently developing a wide area corrosion control system using a host computer for measures against noble potential and for two-dimensional control combined with map information.
