Abstract: The first portion of this paper will deal with the basic Gravitomeeer. The unit is an automatically continuous recorder operating on the principle of a mechanical beam balance system. The manufacturer of this -instrument employed a unique method of-eliminating the effect 5f environmental changes by the use of identical tanks, These tanks are hung from the balance beam, assembled at equal distance from the pivotal axis, but create equal but opposite torques.
