Abstract: The modern gas regulator is one of the most reliable, durable and well designed mechanical products in commercial use today. The extremely low failure rate of all the gas regulators in service is proof of their excellence. However, one failure under certain conditions could resull. in a very large monetary loss as well as considerable embarrassment. Therefore, a well developed maintenance program is essential to the continued success of the gas regulator. I will be describing the maintenance program we use at Laclede Gas.
