Abstract: The purpose, operation and the equipment of a gas quality laboratory are discussed. Some important factors in obtaining representative gas samples and the types of sample containers required for certain analyses are examined. Some of the specific details of gas chromatographic equipment and reference calibration gas blends are discussed. Also discussed are other areas of quality control tests, such as materials and supplies used in company operations and laboratory functions, such as investigations and research.
