Abstract: L.A.C.T. Lease Automatic Custody Transfer units are designed to measure the quality and quantity of Crude Oil, Condensate and other Hydrocarbon products as the products change hands (custody) from transporter to transporter. LACT units, consisting of multiple or single meter runs are found in both onshore systems as well as off shore systems. The number of meter runs are determined by the flow rates, space available, and capacity of the meter prover.
