Title: Characterization Of Heavy Components In Ngl And Natural Gas Extended( Analysis)
Author: Patrick m. Mccann

Abstract: Measurement of Natural Gas and Natural Gas Liquids has evolved to place a high demand upon identifying and quantifying functional hydrocarbon groups, or individual components beyond the customary hexanes plus or heptanes plus. This information is often utilized in product custody transfers and various process studies. The purpose of this paper is to point out reasons why a characterized heavy end component analysis is desirable, to briefly touch on gas chromatographic techniques related to an extended hydrocarbon analysis, and finally to explain why close attention to detail is a must for any chromatographic application.
