Title: Insulating Polymer Concrete For LNG Dikes

Abstract: The large vapor dispersion exclusion zones required for LNG plants have made some new plants uneconomical to build. In response to this problem, the use of insulating materials for LNG dikes to reduce the dispersion area has been suggested. An Insulating Polymer Concrete with suitable physical and thermal properties for use as a dike insulation has been developed. A mathematical model has also been developed to predict the boil-off from this material as a function of time and insulation thickness.
