Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to provide information on how turbine meters are used to measure large volumes of crude oil. As an example, the arrangement of the largest crude oil measurement system in the world will be reviewed. In addition, the history and construction of liquid turbine meters will be discussed. Finally, the operation and performance of turbine meters on crude oils will be presented.
