Abstract: Sour gas processing is a necessity in order to clean off - specification gas and often gas with H2S content before sending it into a transmission pipeline and then to the consumers. This paper gives an overview of how it can be achieved within the rules and regulations of the Regulatory body. The AER Directive 017 and ECON PNG-017 outline how to measure, calculate, and report Acid Gas (AG) and Sulphur volumes with both Section 11 having the same requirement. AG contains mainly H2S and CO2 with small amount of methane and other gases.
