Abstract: As technology has advanced the number of accepted practices for liquid tank gauging has increased. Today there are many categories of mechanical and electronic tank gauges available. Each new technology has unique advantages and benefits, which make selecting a new tank gauge a more complicated process than it was prior to the dawn of digital technology and the birth of the SCADA system.
