Abstract: Until now liquid turbine meter proving systems had several advantages over gas turbine meter proving systems. This paper describes a mobile gas turbine meter proving system that uses ideas from both its liquid prover counterpart and some new ideas that specifically pertain to gas measurement. Arkla Energy Resources is currently using it to prove 3 thru 8 gas turbine meters at the meter station site under actual operating conditions. This system has several advantages over previous methods of proving gas turbine meters.
