Abstract: At this time, the service technician will close the meter settings gas service valve. This stops the flow of natural gas before it reaches the regulator and meter setting. The change can proceed at this point. The service technician will loosen the meter swivel nuts and remove the existing gas meter. The setting is ready for the new gas meter to be installed.
