Abstract: As the cost of meter reading continues to rise and the need to obtain metering data on a daily basis for conodity management becomes a way of life, systems for automatic gas data acquisition become economically feasible. As penalty rates and customer curtailment become of paramount importance in day to day gas management, the need to measure the pulse of the distribution system as well as customer deliveries becomes a necessity.
