Abstract: Without question, measurement is an important function that directly influences the economics of the gas industry. This is true because the revenue of the industry, for the most part, is determined by the registration from meters. The testing and maintenance of meters are operating costs which represent an expenditure fr om this revenue therefore, it is important that the testing program be carefully designed and continually improved to assure accuracy at the lowest practical maintenance cost
