Abstract: The subject of this paper to many may have as many definitions as there are problems inherent with accounting for produced gas encountered by the Gas Accountant and the Gas Engineer. It is the intention to discuss herein only the accounting fundamentals with which the gas producer is commonly confronted: There is no doubt that certain problems, with which each individual company has been confronted, must necessarily be treated as an individual accounting problem, since no parallel of these types of operations has heretofore existed in large enough numbers to establish a recognized procedure in the industry.
