Title: Effects & Control Of Pulsations In Gas Measurement

Abstract: The effects of pulsation on orifice recorders is detrimental to the accurate measurement of natural gas. However, it can be reduced with the installation of pulsation filter bottles between the compressor and the meter station facility. Acoustically, the pulsation can be reduced to a minimal Square Root Error (SRE) reducing the overstatement of natural gas which, in turn, saves a considerable amount of money over time. To obtain reliable measurements, it is necessary to suppress any apparent pulsation.
