Abstract: Although men have understood the principles of orifice measurement for centuries, it has not been until modem times that the science has been refined to the point where consistent results could be predicted. The purpose of this paper is to describe some of the equipment and the care taken in its manufacture to achieve the accuracy in orifice measurement required today.
