Title: New Concepts In Industrial Regulators
Author: Louis J. Delaney

Abstract: What do you want an industrial regulator to do? Primarily, to reduce high distribution pressure to a low constant outlet pressure, and maintain the constant outlet pressure with varying inlet pressures under varying load conditions. You may also want some type of safety protection to maintain, or restrict, the downstream pressure to within a safe pressure range in the event the regulator fails open. You may also want some type of protection to shut off the flow in the event there is a freeze-up of the primary regulator or an upstream pipe break
